More than a Symbol – A piece of history.Inspired by Nicholas Roerich’s Banner of Peace, this design dates back to one of the earliest international efforts to protect the world’s cultural heritage during times of war.
The distinctive three-circle symbol was adopted in connection with the Roerich Pact (1935) The Pact called for museums, historic monuments and artistic, scientific and educational institutions to be respected and protected during war.— the idea being that culture belongs to all humanity, regardless of borders.
The three circles are traditionally interpreted as Art, Science and Religion, united within the circle of culture. They can also represent Past, Present and Future, held within the circle of eternity.— This design is more than just a vintage inspired graphic. It’s a symbol of peace, culture, unity and the preservation of human creativity
